Scimm. Dance Company presents Reflector, a powerful double bill of contemporary dance created for Midsumma Festival 2026, exploring identity, expression, queerness and human connection.
Reflector, choreographed by Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes in collaboration with the dancers, is a striking exploration of self-reflection and duality. Through intimate duets, sculptural movement and a fashion-forward aesthetic, the work examines how we see ourselves and how we are seen by others.
The program also features the world premiere of Q, choreographed by Ronan Armstrong in collaboration with the dancers. Q is a bold, unapologetic work centred on sexuality, gender, community and representation - celebrating individuality, vulnerability and collective strength.
Together, this performance offers an emotionally charged and visually compelling evening of contemporary dance that is sensual, thoughtful and deeply human.

A transformative six-week performance-based program that offers aspiring young dancers an extraordinary opportunity to work closely with Scimm. Dance Artistic Directors, Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes.
ASCENSION TRAINING PROGRAM
