Scimm. Dance Company was established in 2018 to offer paid opportunities to experienced dancers. The company is committed to supporting the growth and development of its dancers by providing access to professional training, choreographic development and weekly classes.
In addition to producing two major performance seasons per year, we provide additional smaller performance opportunities for our dancers throughout the year. The company has previously presented several successful inaugural performance seasons such as Senseless State (2018), Aetherium (2019), Paracosm (2022), 10 Years: An Anniversary Event (2023) Mechorstra (2023, 2024) and Pink (2024).

Scimm. Dance invites skilled contemporary dancers aged 18+ to audition for an exhilarating opportunity to join Scimm. Dance Company in 2024.
Dive into a realm where creativity meets ambition, and your dance career takes flight with a paid contract for our next major performance season of the recommissioned work of Paracosm.
We Seek:
Talented, ambitious and creative dancers ready to push the limits of contemporary dance. Your skills should reflect a strong foundation in contemporary and classical techniques, with a commercial flair. We value improvisation and tasking skills, envisioning dancers who can contribute creatively to our collaborative tapestry.
What We Offer:
Paid contracts are available for development week (May 27-31), and performances in September and October, with the potential for contract extension in February 2025.
Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia without a visa and 18 years as of January 1st 2024, to be considered for a position in Scimm. Dance Company. Directors may consider offering apprenticeships and training positions to dancers who need more time to develop.
