AUDITION | STEPS TO PLATFORMS 2027
Small company. Big possibilities.
Our brand-new junior contemporary dance company is launching in 2027, and we're looking for our first STEPS dancers!
Designed for dancers aged 8–12, STEPS is an opportunity for young artists to experience what it's like to be part of a contemporary dance company.
Led by Samuel Dominic and the Scimm. artistic team, dancers will work with professional choreographers, create original contemporary works and perform alongside Platforms Youth Company in a fully produced theatre season.
With just 15 places available, STEPS offers a smaller company environment where dancers can develop their artistry, build confidence and make friendships with others who share their love of dance.
The program runs on Sundays throughout the first half of 2027 and is designed to complement dancers' existing home-studio training.

AUDITION | PLATFORMS YOUTH COMPANY 2027
Ready to be part of something bigger?
Platforms Youth Company is back for 2027, and we're looking for passionate, talented young dancers who are ready to challenge themselves, grow as artists and experience what it's like to be part of a contemporary dance company.
Led by Artistic Director Samuel Dominic, Platforms gives dancers the opportunity to work with experienced choreographers, explore bold new movement and bring an original contemporary production to life.
It's about more than learning choreography. You'll experience the creative process, work alongside dancers who share your passion and develop the confidence, artistry and performance skills that come from creating something together.
From the rehearsal studio to the stage, expect to be challenged, inspired and part of a community that genuinely loves what they do.
We're looking for committed, expressive dancers with strong technique, a love of contemporary dance and a willingness to push themselves creatively. Whether you're returning to Platforms or auditioning for the first time, we'd love to see what you can bring.

AUDITION | ASCENSION TRAINING PROGRAM
Train harder. Move differently. Find your people.
Auditions are now open for the 2027 Scimm. Dance Ascension Training Program!
Love your regular dance studio but looking for something more? A chance to explore new movement, learn from different teachers and train alongside dancers who share your passion? That's exactly what Ascension is about.
Designed for dedicated young dancers aged 8–19, Ascension is our weekly extension training program, offering high-level contemporary dance training alongside your existing studio commitments.
Led by Scimm. Dance Artistic Directors Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes, together with an incredible team of industry professionals, Ascension gives dancers the opportunity to develop their technique, explore their artistry and experience new approaches to movement.
With a strong focus on contemporary dance, supported by classical ballet, conditioning, jazz & commercial styles, the program encourages dancers to challenge themselves, build versatility and develop their own unique way of moving.
But Ascension is about more than just the training.
It's a chance to meet dancers from different studios, build friendships and become part of the wider Scimm. community. You'll be surrounded by people who share your enthusiasm for dance, supported by teachers who want to see you grow.
For some dancers, Ascension is an opportunity to strengthen their existing training. For others, it's their first introduction to Scimm. and a stepping stone towards future opportunities, including Platforms Youth Company and our Pre-Professional pathway.
Whatever your goals, we're looking for dancers who are curious, committed and excited to learn.
